Information for Physicians

If you are a physician interested in employment opportunities abroad please fill out our brief form below. It also gives you the opportunity to submit your resume. We will enter your information into our database and keep you updated about opportunities in the United States as well as select countries in the Middle East.

At this time we only accept applications from physicians who were educated in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.

Requirements for Practice in the United States

International medical graduates interested to practice in the United States must first enter a residency or fellowship program for physicians. At the present time we do not place foreign educated physicians in such programs.

Foreign educated physicians must successfully complete the three-step United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) to enter either a residency or fellowship program in the United States.

Steps 1 and 2 are administered by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG®) and are comprised of a medical science and clinical knowledge examination (for more information visit http://www.ecfmg.org and http://www.fsmb.org). The first two steps can be completed by medical students as well as graduates at various testing centers around the world, step 3 can only be completed upon graduation from medical school and at test centers in the United States. Once you have completed all three steps you are eligible to enter a residency or fellowship program. The requirements for initial licensure and the length of the residency or in the United States vary by state.
